When they stop coming, that goes with them. The next person walks the block looking for a DOC 200 in the long grass.
Let them map it themselves
Give the operator access to your property and they set the stations up as they place them, standing at the trap.
Kind and target are the two that matter and they are pickers, not free text: DOC 200, DOC 250, Timms, Trapinator, Goodnature A24, snap, cage, leg-hold, bait station. Possums, rats, mustelids, rabbits, feral cats, wasps. Then trap number, line, lure, toxin, when it was set, when it was last checked, when it last caught something, and how many.
A fortnightly check and re-bait reminder comes with the type, already set up, with two days' notice rather than a fortnight. A reminder that shows for the whole interval is the same as no reminder.
No signal, no problem
Trap lines are where coverage is not. Everything records on the phone and syncs when they get back to the gate. A station moved twenty metres because the old spot was wrong gets moved on the map too, later, and it is still the same trap with the same history.
They see the traps. Nothing else.
Not your costs. Not your vehicles. Not the house. Not your phone book.
You give them one kind of thing, no costs at all, no contacts, and if you like, only the jobs that are theirs. They can add and change what they can see and nothing more. It is five questions on their card and you can change the answers whenever you want.
This is not a screen hiding buttons. The server only ever sends their phone the rows they are allowed, so the rest of your property is not on their device at all. How that works.
The map is the report
Filter your assets to pest control and export. You get a map framed to the stations rather than to the whole property, numbered, with a table that matches: kind, target, where it is, when it was last checked.
That is the bait station report somebody would otherwise write by hand, and it is two taps.
When they move on, it stays
Revoke the access. Every trap, every check date, every toxin record is still on your property, because it always was yours. The next operator gets handed a map instead of a walk.
If you are the operator reading this
Being invited onto a customer's property is free, forever, on any number of properties. It never uses up your own free property and it never costs you a subscription. Your customer pays for their place; you turn up and do the work.
Be straight with you about the limit: Plotstead is built around one property at a time. There is no combined job list across your whole round, and no map of everything due today. If that is what you want, tell us. We are not pretending it is there.
One warning, the same as everywhere
Compliance for toxins is yours, not ours. Plotstead records what you tell it and reminds you when you asked to be reminded. Notifications depend on a phone being on and can arrive late or not at all, so it is a record and a prompt, never the thing you rely on to stay lawful.
